Well this is certainly an interesting development. Granted, it's not a representation in the civil cases we've been following, but as Chisholm has been holding himself out these days as a defenseless pro se defendant, unable to hire a lawyer to defend himself versus a "well-funded" "aggressive and skilled" team of plaintiffs' attorneys, this behind-the-scenes revelation is eyebrow-raising, to say the least.
And on top of that...while everyone suspected Chisholm had a "ghost writer" for his latest filings, to be honest this is probably the last lawyer on the planet I would have thought would have agreed to fill that role.
But then again, Fehr did make a brief post-withdrawal appearance in the PRG case, so perhaps this should be not-so-surprising.
In any event, it'll be interesting to see if plaintiffs' attorneys in the Bardfield and DeForest cases bring this new representation issue up (as they did in the recent "Leave-To-File" motions), and what will be the district judge's reaction (who approved Fehr's withdrawal back in July of 2009) if and when he should learn of it.

I notice that he compliments your blog on explaining things "correctly" !!!
ReplyDeleteYes I noticed that too. Considering the source, that's pretty high praise indeed. :o)
ReplyDeleteWhy would someone who is SUING Johnny Chisholm himself for failure to pay (meaning that as a lawyer he knows he is guilty) now be back representing him?
ReplyDeleteActually it would be "sued" (past tense) because the suit ended in a default in favor Chisholm's law firm, for $24,705.78:

But in any case, yeah, I'm not even gonna pretend that I understand what's going on here...
I attended One Mighty Weekend for the first time in 2008, the year before the parties fell apart. I had the best time of my life. I was really looking forward to Mark Baker coming in and keeping the parties going but I have to say that's really been a disappointment. No Disney's Hollywood Studios party on Saturday night. Everything has been moved to Universal and no Arabian nights. I kept asking for the Hollywood Studios party on Mark Baker's facebook page but for the third year now it isn't going to happen. I know what happened with One Mighty Weekend was bad and people lost their money but those parties were so much better. I wish Mark Baker would resume them to the full degree. They used to have fireworks and a live performer at the Studios on Saturday night. Can anybody shed any light on this? Get no answers from the Wonderworld facebook site. Thanks.
